The Revlon Heated Round Brush is a popular styling tool that promises to give you smooth, frizz-free hair with lots of volume and bounce. But does it live up to the hype? Watch this video to find out! Pros: The Revlon Heated Round Brush has a ceramic coating that helps distribute heat evenly and prevent damage to your hair. The brush heats up quickly and has multiple heat settings, so you can customise the temperature to suit your hair type. The brush has a swivel cord, which makes it easy to use and maneuver. Cons: The brush can be a bit heavy, which may make it difficult to use for extended periods of time. The brush may not be suitable for very short hair or hair that is prone to tangling. I'll also be showing you how to use rollers and pin curls to achieve a bouncy blow-dry that will last all day (and longer). Rollers and pin curls are a classic styling technique that can give you beautiful, voluminous hair without the need for heat tools. I'll be sharing my tips and tricks for using rollers and pin curls, as well as some product recommendations to help you achieve the perfect look.
New Revlon One-Step Curling Iron Blowout Curls Yes, another one-step hair tool that dries and styles hair at the same time. This is a brand new hair tool from Revlon, they added to their already very popular One-Step Styler hair tool line. Did I say that it was an award winner? Revlon One-Step Blowout Curls is a kit with a 1.25 inch clip curling iron with 360 degrees vented barrel and root comb attachment to dry roots before styling with the perforated curling iron barrel. Both attachments are interchangeable with the new Revlon 2.0 One-Step base with four heat settings. In my personal opinion, I think the Revlon 2.0 is better than the original one-step styler due to a smaller handle, and an extra heat setting. I’ve been testing the Revlon One-Step Blowout Curls for a bit now, and am pretty happy with the results. Revlon suggests drying hair at the roots first with the concentrator, but I find it works best on lightly misted hair. With this method, my curls and style still look amazing at the end of the day. It does work on dry hair too, but you have to hold hair on the barrel much longer and the curls don’t last as long. I’d say it’s pretty easy to use if you are an experienced curling iron user, but it’s not for the curling iron newbie. As far as the hair tool itself goes, it features two attachments (clip barrel and root concentrator) that are interchangeable with the One-Step 2.0. It has four heat settings, and the medium heat has almost the same airflow as the high setting without the extreme heat. The clip isn’t very tight so it doesn’t pull or tug on hair, however, this is also a con. If you don’t use a thick enough section of hair, hair can slip out of the clip pretty easily. My hair isn’t as full at the bottom, so I struggled with this a good bit. Even the medium heat setting is still pretty hot. You have to keep hair on the barrel for more than 30 seconds plus another 10-15 seconds on the cool shot to get the best curl results. Unlike a traditional curling iron, I would suggest holding Revlon One Step curls barrel further from the scalp due to hot air flow. Another complaint I have is the control placement. They are in an uncomfortable place and the dial is frustrating to use. And, maybe Revlon has this in the works, but One Step tool needs more attachments for different hair types and lengths. It’s not exactly versatile or a ‘one-size-fits-all’ hair device. Lastly, it’d be nice if Revlon sold the attachments separately from the base, especially since they are interchangeable with the 2.0 Revlon One Step Styler. What I mean is the brush head is interchangeable with this new kit featuring the curling iron barrel and root attachment.
