After some great flying time today i thought to my self why not to run a range teat to the quad? The results is amazing, i run a really low budget controller and setup. The fpv signal was clear in the moments of lose control. After a half hour of search the quad found, nothing happens from the crash. I would recommend you guys to record the flight with DVR every time, its a jem when you have a crash! This quad is rock! Hey guys, Took a drive to Norfolk today for a family get together, obviously the kwad came too (part of the family and that), First ever car chase and had some excellent rippin around the house and a local park. I have just upgraded my TX to a FrSky Taranis X9D Plus which is the dogs danglies! Done a Range test across a field and all was well. Maxe range was about 600m. For video I used the stock tx (200mW) on the x220 with a cloverleaf and and Eachine EV100 with a patch antenna.
This was a quick range and altitude test 2.13km out and back. Managed to get about 1000ft on way back. Going to try and push it further in the near future. This inexpensive RTF racer is just plain fun to fly. Extremely agile and maneuverable, it may be a bit too aggressive in stock settings for entry level FPV fliers. But more experienced pilots will have a blast with this. Buy it here 🤍 or here on Amazon 🤍 Pros - Reasonably priced for a ready to fly FPV racer. - Actual Flysky transmitter (not rebranded). Settings menu is not locked. - 700TVL FPV camera. - 48 Channel 200 mW FPV transmitter - Naze 32 6DOF Rev 6 flight controller - Comes with four complete sets of triblade propellers. - 20A ESC's with 2300 KV motors. - OK but not impressive punch with a 3S battery. But it makes up for that in maneuverability and just plain fun flying. Cons - Aggressive and agile stock settings, even in angle mode. New racer pilots may get discouraged flying this as overly aggressive. But they can tone it down if desired in Cleanflight. - Receiver loosely strapped into the quadcopter. Its antennas are also just stuffed inside the quadcopter's body. - FPV transmitter installed with shrink wrap still in place. Can't change its channels unless you partially disassemble the quadcopter to remove the shrink wrap over the channel switches. - Controller mode switch positions did not match user manual settings. Switch C Position 1 and 3 were set to Acro, and Position 2 was set to Angle modes. But it's easy to reconfigure this in Cleanflight to match the manual's settings of 1 Andgle, 2 Horizon, and 3 Acro. Got this as a free drone, been slowly working on it. it came with CleanFlight instead of Betaflight. I soldered a ELRS Receiver as it came with Flsky (not FrSky.. but Flsky on a old school pmw receiver...) Anywho, it now flys. it needs a new camera as the one on it is crap.. it doesnt deal with low light or high light haha. also no OSD so no clue what the battery is.. this is how they came back then out the box :)

Pushing the limits of range! Takes a while to gain the confidence but i'm getting there :) Got Very close to a mile out before feeling that I may loose my way back. But pretty sure I could get much further as I had no rssi warnings and video signal was still strong, 200mw. Having no return to home is a bit frightening in the beginning

This could be a kick-ass racing drone, but it's not. Mine lasted almost a day before that flaky flight controller decided it was going to develop a new fault. The frame also broke (where the sideplate tabs go in) after a really trivial crash (caused by that dodgy flight controller).
